Texas A&M Closes a 14-Point Gap, Then Finishes Arkansas in Overtime - NYTimes.com

Kenny Hill threw for 386 yards and four touchdowns, one of them a 25-yarder to Malcome Kennedy on the first play of overtime, and sixth-ranked Texas A&M rallied to beat Arkansas, 35-28, in Arlington, Tex., on Saturday.
The Aggies (5-0, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) trailed by 28-14 going into the fourth quarter. Hill then threw for two long scores, the second a 59-yarder to Josh Reynolds with 2 minutes 8 seconds left in regulation, two plays after Arkansas missed a field-goal attempt.
Texas A&M is 5-0 for the first time since 2001. Arkansas (3-2, 0-2) has lost 14 consecutive SEC games.
BAYLOR 49, IOWA STATE 28 Bryce Petty threw for 336 yards and a touchdown and ran for two scores as No. 7 Baylor won at Iowa State (1-3, 0-2) in its Big 12 opener. The Bears, who led by at least 21 for the entire second half, are now 4-0, making this their first time with such a start in back-to-back seasons in 76 years.
MICHIGAN ST. 56, WYOMING 14 Coming off a 73-point performance against Eastern Michigan, No. 9 Michigan State settled for 56 in a rout of visiting Wyoming, giving the Spartans a 50.3-point average through their first four games. “Really, the first six drives, every drive in the first half, resulted in a touchdown,” Coach Mark Dantonio of the Spartans (3-1) said. “You have 42 in the first half, tough to overcome that.”
By the time the Cowboys (3-2) recorded a first down, they had been outgained, 157 yards to 2. Michigan State has scored 174 points in three home games — nearly a point per minute.
